Hey guys,
I'm Dave and I'm a collector of stuff (junk, if you ask my wife). I collected comics and hockey cards when I was a kid (30 yrs ago) up until my teens (when I thought I was too cool for the hobby). As an adult, I periodically got back into collecting cards or comics for brief stints.
Some of my most prized stuff are: Near complete Amazing spiderman collection. I have #10 up to the end of volume 1 almost complete. #70-#299, missing 300, 301 to end of volume 1. I was fortunate enough to pick up 200 of those comics as a teen from a collector who was moving to England. Not all the key issues are mint, but at least I can say I have it.
Collected hockey cards as a kid. Had many sets during the early 80s. But I think I gave away my Gretzky rookie card to a relative 15 yrs ago, but still have many other old rookie cards.
About 3 or 4 years ago, I got into collecting action figures. Started out with Mcfarlane NHL figures, then expanded to Marvel Legends, Spawn and other Mcfarlane items, other Marvel stuff including Spiderman classics and Marvel Select, LOTR...and anything that looks cool. Have some new Star Wars stuff, including the Master replicas light sabres. Some Titanimum Series Transformers, and some cars (hot wheels, Johnny lightning, Pixar Cars).
I even have to admit my collection has gotten out of control and is pretty...grotesque...for lack of a better word.
I keep most of my stuff unopened/sealed or MOC (mint on card). But I have set up loose stuff all over my home office. Keeps work at home more light hearted. I'd love to help set up a front window display for fun.
I've put comics and cards on the back burner for now. Probably would one day like to complete the entire ASM series.
'Nuff said.
