Time for some more monthly picks (which we're going to smarten up with and actually do monthly)! Try and keep this spoiler-free...or at least warn the shite of of people.

Anyway...

The Awesome

Walking Dead #51: Almost always damn good, but this one issue was particularly heartbreaking. Kirkman may be on his way to de-throning Whedon as the king of heartless bastards.

Secret Invasion #5: Well crap. Is anyone else actually starting to side with/feel sorry for the Skrulls now? I swear if this series goes to crap, I'm going to personally hunt BMB down and beat him with a lunch tray.

The Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe: A little bit of early Garth Ennis nostalgia for you, just as good now as it was then. Plus, that skull variant was one of the most simplistic yet awesome covers ever.

Scott Pilgrim Volume 1, Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life: It's not new, I've already read it multiple times, but now I actually own it and just wanted to make clear my love for this fantabulous book.

The Surprisingly Dissapointing

The Goon #27: People who know me know it takes a hell of a lot for me to not like the Goon. Well congradulations to issue #27. 8 pages of fairly undramatic Eric Powell, followed by 18 pages of weak, non-Eric Powell back up stories. And issue #26 had got me so pumped up...

The Noteworthy

Halo Uprising #3: It wasn't good or anything...but just look at it. It's actually there. On the stand. Now all we need is Ultimate Wolverine vs Hulk #3.
