I trust nothing!
Except Deadpool. My world would be destroyed if Deadpool was a skrull.

As much as it hurts to say it, I don't think that Deadpool is a big enough character to be involved in the whole Skrull thing. I do like the fact that there will be a new Deadpool series though.

Little late chiming in but yes yes resoundingly yes this looks like its going to work out. I'm not a huge fan of Yu's art but the inks seem to make it somewhat better. Can't believe they snagged poor Jarvis. Hope they don't hurt him! _________________ What's in my long boxes? http://www.comicspriceguide.com/world/default.asp?m=icebreaka

With two big Avengers books revealing 2 skrulls who've infiltrated earth, I can't wait to find out what happens with our heroes next.
Thank God that Issue 2 is out tomorrow.

Of course I'll keep reading. It's like a slow motion train wreck. And if this whole back-to-basics approach doesn't go over well with the fans, at least Marvel's left themselves a way out.
Just say this Parker's a skrull. |
Well...crap.
ps - who were the reveals in Avengers (missed it)? _________________

do you really want the spoilers?
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
New Avengers revealed that a certain arachnid female was a super pivotal part of the whole skrull dealy. Mighty Avengers revealed Nick Fury's friend with benefits being one as well.
*End of spoilers alertage*
So.... Secret Invasion #2......... did anyone else feel that it was a short read and was p.o'd that it had to end?

It was a remarkably speedy read. Usually, I like to really take my time getting through single issues (it's sad, but each one gets around 20/30 minutes) of anything, but SI #2 was over in 7 minutes.
Doesn't mean it was bad (pretty awesome actually), it just went fast. I guess a couple slash pages does help, but still.
Personally though, I'm getting nervous. I loved House of M at the start, but was dissapointed with the end. Civil War was amazing right up until the last four pages of #7. I really hope Secret Invasion doesn't end up going the same way as all the other massive-company-wide-cross-overs-which-get-retconned-a-year-later from Marvel.
Just a morbid little thought. _________________

#3
oh my god.
i squealed...out loud...like three times. That last page was probably the best panel I've seen in mainstream comics this year.
SPOILER(ish)
How the hell can he even LIFT a gun that big?
So here's a question. Who is the Skrull queen? It's between the Jessica's, but my money's on Drew. Although didn't someone refer to Jones as "Empress"? Or did I just dream that part? _________________

Wasn't that revealed in one of the Avenger's books? Like at the very end? Big splash page? The one where we get a bit of background information on the Skrulls and their reason for invading? Mighty Maybe? Or maybe the New Avengers before last weeks issue?
